SKATE TEAM 2009

Grades 3-12. Open to skateboaders and in-line skaters, of all abilities, in grades 3-12. The annual fee includes a Skate Team 2009 t-shirt and entry into two skate competitions: in May and September. We, FA Skates, offers discounts for DP team riders and and will provide prizes for DP Park District events.

The Skate Team also provides an opportunity to visit other skate parks, with monthly trips to local venues for just $5 each, and long distance overnight trips for $50-$75 each. Highlights include a November overnight to the KRUSH indoor skate park, in Tinley Park, IL, and a summer trip to the famous DC Skate Plaza in Kettering, OH. Skate Team members receive a $3 discount for every Late Night in the Park event in 2009.

LATE NITE IN THE PARK AT MOUNTAIN VIEW ADVENTURE CENTER

2009 Program Dates: Select Saturdays from 7 pm - 11pm on April 25, May 30, June 20, July 18, August 22, September 19, and October 10. Grades 5-10. $3 discount for skate team members. Special event Saturday nights at Mountain View Adventure Park feature youth only staff supervised evening of recreational fun. Events include skate park with special events and contest, live music by middle school and high school garage bands, dodgeball, flag football, miniature golf, batting cages, special events, and more! The concession stand will be open to purchase food.

FA SKATES AMATEUR SKATE CONTESTS AT MOUNTAIN VIEW ADVENTURE PARK

2009 CONTESTS: Saturdays from 1pm to 4 pm on May 16th and September 26th. Free to skate team members. Skate Team Des Plaines and FA Skates are hosting annual skate contests at the Mountain View Adventure Center. Register at the skate park on the day of the event. Show off your skills in our annual skateboard competition at the Mountain View Skate Park. Skaters will be divided into age groups. Skateboarders will have an opportunity to compete in front of judges from FA Skate Shop. Prizes will be awarded to top competitors. Come and cheer on the competitors. There will be give-a-ways for the spectators.
